The Youth Power Survey is a UK‑wide report from November 2022 authored by Centre for Youth Impact.
Its focus is on how organisations support young people’s participation in decision‑making and how this has evolved since a similar 2010 survey conducted by Children’s Rights Alliance England.
It presents a snapshot from 269 organisations across the UK, capturing insights into their experience, methods, strengths, and gaps in supporting youth voice and influence.
The aims of this work was to:
Understand current youth participation practice: Insight into where, how, and on which issues young people are supported to influence decisions.
Track change over time: Comparison with 2010 findings to identify developments in youth engagement and support.
Inform stakeholders: Provide funders, practitioners, and youth with evidence to strengthen equitable, high-quality participation opportunities.
Lay groundwork for future tracking: Establishing a foundational dataset that can be expanded in subsequent years toward a robust longitudinal resource.
